I studied Indigenous (TEK) or ‘Traditional Ecological Knowledge’ at University of Toronto ~ while a western concept, it helped open the door to a deeper understanding of medicine wheel teachings and Indigenous worldview.

I have been a nomade in Canada, US, Mexico most of my adult life, and as such have had trainings in various Dream Councils, Wisdom Keeper Teachings, Sweatlodge, Women’s Circles, Potlatches, Fasting Ceremonies Cocoa, Plant Medicine Ceremonies actively since 1997.

While I hold the belief that we are all indigenous to the earth and have inherent knowledge available to relate to, I have learned & studied for over 3 decades with elders, ceremonial leaders, and dear friends from the Anishinabek (Manitoulin Island), Nuu-chah-nulth (Vancouver Island), Potawatomi, Haudenosaunee Confederacy, as well as Oaxacan-Mayan, Maouri and Guatemalan-Mayan traditions. to be able to pass on certain tenants in my work.

These teachings, combined with a life lived closely with the land, have shaped my understanding of relational integrity, ancestral reverence, and the slow, respectful pace required to be in right relationship with all beings—seen and unseen.

This is more than a free reading. It’s a threshold.
